ABOUT

Kimmi Chex is rewriting the rules of sports media. Chex began her career inside the NFL itself, joining the league’s prestigious Junior Rotational Program in 2018 as a business analyst at NFL headquarters in New York. There, she built a foundation few broadcasters can claim — rotating across International Media & Business Development, Fan Database Marketing, Event Revenue & Strategy, and Digital Media at just 22 years old before making the leap to on-camera talent in 2020.

Since then, she has become a familiar and trusted face on NFL Network, anchoring their flagship programming including NFL Total Access, NFL GameDay Morning, NFL Fantasy Live and more, while also providing front-line coverage of the league’s marquee events — the Super Bowl, NFL Draft, and Scouting Combine among them. Beyond the network, Chex has extended her reach within the NFL ecosystem by leading social-first content for viewers that captures the voice and energy of a new era of sports media consumption. She teamed up with NFL x Snapchat to develop and host “Real Talk with the NFL,” a video series built around the league’s social justice initiatives, athlete voices, and Black culture’s ties to the game.

Her hosting range keeps stretching well past NFL Network. She’s entering her fourth year as preseason sideline reporter and ancillary host for the Kansas City Chiefs, in-venue host and emcee for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, host of the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, and in-venue host for the inaugural Enhanced Games. Keynotes, corporate off-sites, and moderated panels have taken her from Cannes to her alma mater, the University of Iowa.

What excites Chex most now is building original content and formats of her own, and understanding how brands and networks think about content strategy before a single frame is shot. That’s the part of the business she trained for first, and the part she still cares about most.

That rare combination of boardroom fluency, broadcast instincts, and a finger on the pulse of digital culture has made Chex one of the most dynamic voices in the space. She is a 2022 Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, and has been recognized by The Athletic’s 40 Under 40: Rising Stars Shaping the Direction of the NFL and Front Office Sports’ 25 Under 25.

A University of Iowa graduate with honors, holding a B.A. in Journalism & Mass Communication and a Certificate in Critical Cultural Competence, Chex brings intellectual depth and cultural fluency to every platform she touches. She is also a sought-after live event host and moderator leading conversations at conferences, business off-sites, and major stages nationwide. Outside of her on-air role, she serves as a Board Member at United WE, a national nonpartisan nonprofit advancing women’s civic and economic engagement as well as a Board of Trustee for OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science Innovation). Public service, for her, is the same read-the-room instinct that got her into an NFL boardroom at 22 years old.
